Disappearing TAY Services
The second change is the apparent disappearance of TAY non-profit service space in the ground floor of the project. Previous iterations and presentations of the project up to this point have included space in the ground floor for TAY non-profit service providers, and it was not made clear why this has been removed. The third change is the removal of a dedicated ground floor senior center space, which has been replaced by what is being called a “neighborhood serving community center.” The developers said this was due to no senior service provider non-profits responding to the RFP for the original senior center space. The developer also briefly touched on affirmative marketing to begin in late 2024, but no specifics were given. The public art process has also currently been postponed.
Hoping for Clarity
We hope to get more clarity around these changes, and to continue to ensure that the community vision outlined by the Coalition for a Complete Community at 730 Stanyan of having dedicated space, services, and housing for TAY, seniors, and families is reflected in this site.
