Haight Ashbury Street Fair June 11
The Haight Ashbury Street Fair will take place on Sunday, June 11, from 11 am to 5:30 pm, on Haight Street between Masonic and Stanyan, with a Children’s Alley on Belvedere between Haight and Waller.
The Haight Ashbury Street Fair is dedicated to celebrating the cultural history and diversity of one of San Francisco’s most internationally celebrated neighborhoods. The Street Fair was developed in response to the re-birth of the economic and residential spirit of the community in the mid 1970’s. With the assistance of Harvey Milk, the first District 5 Supervisor, a group of neighborhood merchants, activists, and residents developed the Haight Ashbury Street Fair organization, and sponsored the first Haight Ashbury Street Fair on April 30, 1978.
