The Interim Proposal for 730 Stanyan was presented for the Coalition for a Complete Community by Rupert Clayton, Maggie Lohmeyer, and Calvin Welch. It ties interim uses to proposed permanent uses in the coming new housing, such as a community meeting and event space and offices for youth services. The proposal calls for keeping neighborhood character of housing over commercial, such as neighborhood-serving business, hopefully some employing youth housed here, and non-profit offices. The proposal also calls for no on-site parking since 5 MUNI lines serve the site. Along with permanent housing at this site for seniors, families, and youth, particularly those aging out of foster care, this mixture of people and services will manifest our community.
