American Cyclery, at the corner of Fredrick and Stanyan Streets, has developed plans for a Public Parklet and Plaza in front of the entrance on Stanyan Street. The Parklet area will be 225 square feet and the Plaza is planned to be 757 square feet.
The bicycle shop has permits from the SF Planning Department and Public Works, but so far has not raised enough money to build it. The estimated project cost is $50,000 and so far they have raised $10,000.
The plans include space for trees and planters, a handicap ramp and, of course, bike parking. Bradley Woehl (This email address is being protected from spambots. Direct donations for the proejct should be made out to the Cole Valley Improvement Association. These checks may be mailed or brought to American Cyclery.
